ilgiro is convoy management for car clubs. This page explains what we collect when you use the ilgiro app or the organiser portal, why we collect it, and who else sees it.
What we collect

| Club membership and role | Which club(s) you belong to, and whether you're a member, organiser or club admin. |
| Vehicle details (registration, description) | To identify your car in a convoy and, where your club uses one, to fill in permit logbook entries. |
| Trip / logbook records | Date, times, start point, destination and finish point, entered by you when you log a run under a club's permit scheme. |
| Location — live | While you're on a convoy run, so other participants can see your position on the map and so pit-stop check-ins can happen automatically. Includes background location during an active run. |
| Event RSVPs and tickets | To manage attendance at club events and issue Apple Wallet passes for ticketed events. |
Who we share it with
- Apple — handles sign-in itself (Sign in with Apple); we never see your Apple password.
- Mapbox — renders the map and provides routing. Mapbox's SDK sends its own usage telemetry as part of operating the map.
- Your club's organisers and admins — see the roster, RSVPs and, for permit-scheme clubs, logbook entries for cars registered to their club. Other convoy participants see your live position and name only during an active run.
We don't sell data, and we don't use third-party advertising or tracking. Our own analytics (a first-party, cookieless service) tells us which pages and features get used — it doesn't identify you individually.
How long we keep it
Account and club data is kept for as long as your account is active. Live location during a convoy run is not retained once the run ends — it's shown to other participants in real time and then discarded. Logbook entries are kept as a record for as long as your club requires for permit compliance, or until you or your club admin deletes them.
Your choices
- You can leave a club, or ask a club admin to remove you, at any time.
- Location sharing only happens while you're actively participating in a convoy run — background tracking isn't active outside of that.
